The Tate Modern Project was an ambition to redefine the museum for the twenty first century, integrating learning, display and social functions. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, it rises from behind the power station with new Galleries, Learning Spaces, Restaurants and open spaces.
Working directly with Tate, Fixation Networks undertook the Project Management for the installation of all IT related services into this iconic building. Installations included;
- 9 New Comms Rooms, housing network and backend systems.
- Over new 150 WiFi Access points co-ordinated with Architects for minimal visibility, yet supporting very high throughput.
- Four new AV centric spaces for events.
- Three new floors of office space fitted out for staff occupation and move.
